1. Nature of Service

findmystudio is an online marketplace that connects artists with recording studios and processes payments on behalf of studios. We are not an operator, owner or controller of any studio or recording facility.

The Platform enables artists to discover and book recording studio time, and enables studios to list their facilities and manage bookings. All bookings are subject to acceptance by the studio — nothing is confirmed automatically.

By using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms applicable to specific features of the Platform.

2. Who Can Use findmystudio

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and over. You may use the Platform if you are:

• At least 18 years old
• Able to enter into a legally binding contract under applicable law
• Not prohibited from using the Platform under any applicable law

By registering, you confirm that you meet these requirements. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to register, and we reserve the right to refuse access to, suspend or terminate any account at our discretion, including where we believe a user is under 18.

3. Your Account

To access certain features of the Platform, including submitting booking requests or listing a studio, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current and complete information when registering
• Keep your account information up to date
• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
• Notify us immediately at hello@findmystudio.co.uk if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or where we have reason to believe fraudulent or harmful activity is taking place.

4. Identity Verification

Users may choose to verify their identity through our verification provider, Didit. Verification is optional. Where you choose to verify, we receive only your verification status, the date of verification and a reference ID — we do not receive or store your identity documents. A verification badge or status does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee by findmystudio of any user, and you should not rely on it as the sole basis for any decision.

5. How Bookings Work

5.1 Artists can browse studio profiles, view availability, and submit Booking Requests to studios listed on the Platform.

5.2 Studios have full discretion to accept or decline any Booking Request. No booking is confirmed until a studio explicitly accepts a request.

5.3 On confirmation, a direct agreement is formed between the artist and the studio for the provision of studio services. findmystudio is not a party to that agreement.

5.4 findmystudio manages the payment process on behalf of studios. Artists pay through the Platform at the time of booking confirmation.

5.5 Once a booking is confirmed, both artists and studios are expected to honour their commitments. Cancellations are subject to our Cancellation Policy, available at findmystudio.co.uk/legal/payment-terms.

6. Studio Responsibilities

Studios listed on findmystudio are responsible for:

• Studio and session safety — ensuring a safe environment for all users at all times
• Equipment condition — maintaining all equipment in good working order and as described in their profile
• Insurance — maintaining appropriate public liability insurance and any other insurance required for their premises and operations
• Compliance — adhering to all applicable laws, regulations and health and safety requirements
• Profile accuracy — ensuring all information on their findmystudio profile is accurate, up to date and not misleading
• Booking reliability — honouring all confirmed bookings and notifying findmystudio and the artist promptly if exceptional circumstances arise

By listing a studio on findmystudio, studio owners confirm they meet these obligations and accept full responsibility for their studio's operations, facilities and the services they provide.

7. Artist Responsibilities

As an artist using the Platform, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information in all Booking Requests
• Attend confirmed sessions on time and prepared
• Treat studios, their staff and their equipment with care and respect
• Not damage studio equipment, instruments or property — you may be liable for the cost of any damage caused
• Comply with all rules, policies and instructions communicated by the studio

8. Booking Outside the Platform

findmystudio invests in connecting artists and studios and charges commission to fund the service. To keep the Platform sustainable:

• Artists agree not to solicit, encourage or agree to arrangements with a studio to conduct, off-Platform, bookings that were initiated or discovered through findmystudio, for the purpose of avoiding Platform fees.
• Studios agree not to systematically direct artists to book outside the Platform. Studios found doing so may have their listing suspended or removed without notice.

We recognise that artists and studios may have, or may form, relationships independent of findmystudio, and nothing here prevents genuinely independent bookings. This clause is intended only to address deliberate circumvention of the Platform to avoid fees.

9. Platform Liability

findmystudio does not operate, own or control any studios. We are not liable for the acts, omissions or conduct of studios or artists. In particular, findmystudio is not liable for:

• Any loss, damage or injury occurring at or in connection with a studio session
• The accuracy, quality or completeness of studio profile information
• Any failure by a studio to honour a confirmed booking
• Any dispute between an artist and a studio arising from a booking

Disputes arising from bookings should be resolved directly between the relevant artist and studio in the first instance. findmystudio is available to facilitate resolution where appropriate and will review any dispute brought to our attention.

Our total liability to you in connection with the Platform shall not exceed the total amount of Platform Commission we have earned on your bookings in the three months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. If you are a consumer, these Terms do not affect your statutory rights, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

10. Payment Terms

10.1 findmystudio processes payments on behalf of studios using Stripe. All payments for confirmed bookings are made through the Platform.

10.2 Session fees are set by studios and displayed on their profiles. findmystudio charges a Platform Commission on each confirmed booking, deducted from the session fee before payment is transferred to the studio. The current Platform Commission rate is published on our Fees page at findmystudio.co.uk/legal/payment-terms.

10.3 findmystudio may also offer optional membership tiers for studios or artists in the future, which may provide additional features or reduced commission rates. Details of any membership fees will be published on the Fees page before they take effect.

10.4 findmystudio reserves the right to amend its Platform Commission rate and any membership fees. We will provide at least 30 days' written notice to affected users before any fee changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new rates.

10.5 All transactions are processed in GBP. Artists pay the full session fee at the time of booking confirmation.

10.6 Invoices are generated and sent automatically by findmystudio on confirmation of a booking. Studios do not need to invoice artists directly.

10.7 Studios receive a monthly revenue statement showing all bookings, session fees and commission deducted for that month.

11. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund terms are set out in our Cancellation Policy at findmystudio.co.uk/legal/payment-terms. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by those terms. In summary:

• Artist cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee depending on notice given
• Studio cancellations will result in a full refund to the artist and may result in penalties for the studio
• findmystudio reserves the right to issue refunds at its discretion in cases of dispute

12. In-Platform Messaging

The Platform includes a messaging feature so artists and studios can communicate about bookings. You agree to use messaging only for legitimate, lawful purposes connected to the Platform. We may review messages where necessary to investigate suspected abuse, fraud or breaches of these Terms, to resolve disputes, or to comply with our legal obligations. You must not use messaging to harass, abuse or threaten others, or to share unlawful content.

13. Prohibited Conduct

You must not use the Platform to:

• Provide false, misleading or fraudulent information in any form
• Harass, abuse, threaten or harm any other user
• Infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy or other rights
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the Platform's booking or payment process
• Use automated tools to scrape, copy or access data from the Platform
• Introduce malware, viruses or any harmful code
• Engage in any unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive activity

We reserve the right to remove content, suspend accounts and report activity to relevant authorities where these rules are breached.

14. Intellectual Property

14.1 The Platform and all content created by findmystudio — including the name, logo, design, text, graphics and software — are owned by FindMyStudio Ltd and protected by intellectual property laws.

14.2 You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

14.3 By uploading content to the Platform (including photos, descriptions and other materials), you grant findmystudio a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use and display that content for the purposes of operating and promoting the Platform.

14.4 You confirm that any content you upload is your own or that you have the right to use it, and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.

15. Third Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third party websites or services. These are provided for convenience only. findmystudio does not endorse or take responsibility for any third party content, products or services, and we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of them.

16. Changes to the Platform and These Terms

We may update the Platform and these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by email or through the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform following notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We may also suspend or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time, although we will endeavour to give reasonable notice where possible.

17. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time if we believe you have breached these Terms, without liability to you. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@findmystudio.co.uk. Any confirmed bookings at the time of account closure must be honoured.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.
